Over 1,200 youth from Bayview Hunters Point attended
the Back-to-School Celebration, Cosponsored by MAGIC and 40 other youth
agencies.
MAGIC volunteers served
over 1,500 hotdogs to hungry children and parents.

Point agencies hosted youth activities and informational booths.

The days events included
free swimming at Martin Luther King, Jr. Pool.
MAGIC volunteers planned a
day of sports activities and games for youth.
The event brought youth
from throughout the BVHP community together for a day of friendship and
fun.

1,000 backpacks were
distributed to youth at the event.
Over 1,000 backpacks stuffed
with school supplies were donated by local businesses and agencies to
make the backpack giveaway possible.
