Parent Mission Statement

We are Partners with the students members in the learning process. When our students fail, we all fail. We participate so that our children will succeed.

The 100% CPI Parent Association was created in 2000 as a fund raising arm for the club.  All parents are automatic members of the association and are expected to attend 100% College Prep Inst. general parent association meetings, which are scheduleed the 2nd Wednesday of every other month.
The primary objective of the association is to create projects that will support the club financially.  Since its inception, the association has raised over $30, 000 for the club by organizing an annual three-day musical showcase, an art show, and having candy sales.

Students Mission Statement

100%   of our students must maintain a 2.5 or better GPA. 100%   of our students & parents must sign a contract of commitment to the program. 100%   of our students must participate in academic enrichment classes. 100% of our students must participate in programs that emphasize leadership knowledge,             skills, and character. 100%   of our students are encouraged to be role models in every aspect of their lives. 100%   of our students are taught to value the importance of education and broaden             their understanding of their career options. 100%   of our students must perform a minimum of 25 hours of community service every year.

Our Alumni

In 2001, 100CPC graduated its first class of high school seniors.  All five of these students were members of the club from its inception.
Craig Cohen Craig graduated from International Studies Academy (ISA).  Craig received a score of 1380 on his SATs and is currently attending the College of San Mateo.  He has worked for SLUG ( www.slug.org ) as a trainer and facilitaor in its youth division.
Craig hopes to attend Marymount College or Tuskegee University in fall 2002 where he will study political science and prepare for law.
Donald Harper Donald is a graduate of Thurgood Marshall High School (TMHS).  Donald overcame a tumultuous start his first year at TMHS by getting back on track and completing an extra year of high school.  Donald was a star football player at TMHS.  He was one of the top Academic Athletic Association  (AAA) player in the City. Donald nows attends Alabama State University (ASU).  He made the Dean's list both semesters of his freshman year.  He will be joining ASU's football team in the fall 2002.
Randry Merritt Randy is a graduate of Gaileo High School.  Throughout high school, Randy worked to help support his siblings.  Randy is currently working in the retail industry.  He will be attending college in the future to study architecture.
Charles "Chase" Nesbitt Chase is currently studying business Adminstration at Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He has maintained a "B" average throughout his freshman year in college.
Eric Turner Eric
is a graduate of Thurgood Marshall High School (TMHS). Eric was accepted to attend San Francisco State University, but decided to work for a year first.  He is a department supervisior at Best Buys Electronic sore.  Eric is planning to start his college career at San Francisco State University this Fall 2002.

Our Staff

Gina Nobuko Ramos - Tutor: English, History, and Social Science
Gino Nobuko Ramos, a native of  the Bay Area, spent much of her childhood traveling and living on  Military bases in Okinawa, Japan, Texas and Masschusetts, returning in  1976 to San Francisco. After graduating from George Washington High School, she attended College of Marin before obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Communications from San Francisco State Univeresity.  She is the first in her family to obtain a college education and attend graduate school.  She is currently pursuing her Mastrs of Arts degree in Somatic Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies and is a therapist - in - train at the Center for Somatic Psychotheapy ( formally know as the Clrment Street Counseling Center).  Her hope,a goal since chilhood, is to serve the community as a Marriage/Family Therapist. "A child of Motown", Gina enjoys listening to R&B, soul and jazz vocals. Her interests also include the joys of readig, cultural diversity, and cycling.

100% College Inst. Club Governing Board

The board was formed in 2000 by founding member Jacqueline "Jackie" Cohen.  Its main function are to oversee the program and parent Association, as well as make financial and program decisions for tht club.  There are ten board members.

Diane Gray, President and Program Coordinator, Academics Diane Gray
,  program Manager, San Francisco Unified School District's Department of Parent Relations is one of the founding members of the 100CPC.  Diane has been the president and Program Coordinator since 1999.  In addition to her volunteer work with the 100CPC, she also has been involved with the Bayview Hunter's Point Beacon Initiative and San Francisco Educational Services. Diane has earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Francisco State in 1984.  In addition to community service work, Diane enjoys being a collector of African American Art and Photography books, sewing and movies.  Diane has been a life long resident of the Bayview.
Jacqueline "Jackie" Cohen, Program Coordinator Tutorial Administrator Jackie Cohen
, a driver for Laidlaw, Inc. has been credited as one of the driving forces that have helped shaped the college club into the program that it is today.  All members, student and parents have felt Jackie's vision, hard work, tenacity and never-ending push to improve the 100CPC.  Jackie is married with two children and enjoys getting involved in a variety of youth activities.

, the past Vice President and Branch Manager of Bayview Bank's Bayview Hunter's Point Office.  Betty has lived in the Bayview for the past seven years, is married and is the parent of one child.  Betty's other community service includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Network for Elders, the Bayview Opera House and on the South East Health Center.

Elaine Redus, Fund Raising Administrator Elaine Redu s, Deputy Sheriff with the City & County of San Francisco is a single parent with two children who has lived in the Bayview for the past four years.  In addtion to working with children, she has been a girl's basketball coach for the past six years.

t, a former driver with laidlaw, Inc., is a single parent of four children and lived in the Bayview for over twenty years.  In his free time, he enjoys cooking and camping.  His volunteer work includes the Algebra Project and church activites.  Jesse is the founding member of the Martin Luther King Middle School Mentoring Program for Boys.
